Canada - Canadian Forces Comfort Support Quilts
facebook group
We are a group of Canadians who have volunteered to assist in the making of blankets and quilts that show our support, gratitude, respect and pride in our Canadian Forces. These blankets are being sent overseas to our CF Members who have been injured while standing up for our safety and freedoms. These blankets are to bring a bit of comfort to them, covering up with a home made blanket, made with them in mind, letting them know that we, as Canadians, are thankful for all they do. These blankets are stitched together with love, gratitude and support and filled with strength, courage, hope and lots of hugs.

Canada - Wounded Warriors Fund
www.woundedwarriors.ca
The fund is designed to deliver quality of life, financial, benevolent and moral assistance through five different streams of support.

1. Wounded Warrior Packs
When an injured soldier leaves the battlefield, they do so quickly and without warning. Sometimes, all they have with them are just the clothes on their back. It is now that they are at their most vulnerable. This program alleviates some of this inconvenience by contributing "quality of life" items to the soldier. Wounded Warrior Packs" contain a variety of items.

2. Padre's Contingency Fund
As part of this program a small Padre's Contingency Fund has been established in Landstuhle, Germany to aid in the morale of the soldiers. This fund was established in November 2006 and provides the care givers in Germany the ability to give immediate assistance for items like clothing, special meal requests (something other than hospital food). This fund is replenished as needed.

3. Fisher House Endowment:
The Fisher House is a unique program (similar to the renowned Ronald MacDonald House charity) that supports the families of those receiving critical medical care by providing free accommodation, near the hospital in Landstuhle Germany. While the Fisher Houses were started to provide assistance to the families of wounded U.S. service people, they have opened their doors to Canadians. Fisher Houses rely on donations to subsist and the Wounded Warriors fund provides
goods and services to the Fisher House in Germany in support of Canadian families. These donations will reoccur as the need and opportunity arises.

4. Awareness
The Wounded Warriors Fund assists on behalf of all wounded Canadian Forces (CF) service members (where required) in gaining entitled benefits from federal departments and works to assure life issues and matters are resolved.

United Kingdom - Help for Heroes
http://helpforheroes.org.uk
Help for Heroes raises money to support members of the Armed Forces who have been wounded in the service of their country. We ask our supporters to “do their bit” to show these extraordinary young men and women that they are cared for by us.

Over a million people have responded to date and millions of pounds have been raised to buy much needed services that will aid their recovery, but we need more! So far, we have allocated almost all of the money we have raised in order to fund direct projects and support other service charities.

United Kingdom - Push for Heroes
www.pushforheroes.co.uk
Push for Heroes are a group of everyday people who are trying to raise money for Help for Heroes charity. We are doing this by pushing a car constantly around a track for 24hrs and hoping to set a Guinness World Record.

United Kingdom - Rugby for Heroes
www.rugbyforheroes.org.uk
Our mission as Young Guns is to make a positive difference to the lives of our wounded servicemen and women.

We have joined together to create a unique calendar to raise much needed funds for H4H who have been rehabilitating, supporting and caring for our wounded heroes. We have no political agenda - just a desire to see that affected service personnel get the care and support they deserve.

Rugby and armed forces personnel share similar  values - an appreciation of team work, determination, courage and commitment. However, they regularly put their lives on the line for "Queen and Country" and warrant our full support.
