When the "Greatest Generation" passed through North Platte, Nebraska during WWII, they got a hug and a handshake, homemade cakes and cookies, and a moment of respite and prayer provided by thousands of volunteers from the surrounding communities.
This spirit of service is vital to America today. You can give something back to our military members and their families.

Operation We Are Here
"I am a military spouse who has experienced a void of support during a military deployment. The Operation We Are Here website is my way of making a difference for other military families. My hope is that this clearinghouse of resources will empower the military community and equip civilians to care."
Benita Koeman, founder of Operation We Are Here
"Just wanted to thank you again for your website. I refer people to it more than I realized. You did all the hard research work and sacrificed so much to get it done so that people can get help fast and not feel hopeless. It's like the military white and yellow pages. I love it."
